Okay, so I don't actually have an award, but if I did there is one person in particular that comes to mind when I picture myself giving one out. This person possesses all of the qualities that I can only hope to attain one day myself. Strength, beauty, and humor are only three of her wonderful traits. She is also an A+ mother, a very talented writer, and a wife who is completely adored by her husband.
Not too long ago the blog world was distraught with the thought that we might lose one of our leaders. One of the women who make this whole blogging thing worthwhile. We should have known that a woman with the strength of Anissa Mayhew would pull through. We should have never had a shred of doubt in our minds.
And of course, she has. With the help of her devoted husband, Pete, and the love of her three magnificent kids she managed to kick the aftermath of the stroke she endured right in the arse. If ever you need a little motivation to make it through a struggle in your own life, or hell even if you're just having a bad day and need a laugh or two then hop on over to FreeAnissa.com, and let her inspire you. I promise you will love her as much as her friends (and even mere acquaintances like myself). You have much to learn from her, grasshopper.
When I first started blogging here I didn't understand the magnificence of this thing we call the blogosphere. I thought that my blog would simply be a journal-type thing. A place for me to record my thoughts and daily happenings. I had no idea of all the wonderful people that I would encounter. Some of which would change my perspective and my life for good. I think that it is important for us to look at the positive attributes of others and praise them for those things, which is why this Blogger of the Year of the World came to mind. I hope to highlight bloggers in the future that have made a positive impact on my life.
